APRALO Leadership Team Activities
To unleash the leadership potential of At-Large members, the Asian, Australasian, and Pacific Islands Regional At-Large Organization (APRALO) Leadership Team launched a Mentoring Program, targeting At-Large Structures (ALSes) in the region. During a nine-month period, 11 mentees will be matched with mentors and receive one-on-one coaching and support to develop necessary knowledge and skills for contributing to the work of the Community. A “Super Mentor” will provide the overall guidance to all the mentors. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, mentees will regularly update APRALO on their progress during teleconferences and a presentation about the program will be held at the ICANN58 Copenhagen Meeting. Another recent development in the APRALO Leadership Team is that Satish Babu has assumed the interim APRALO Chair position starting on September 1, 2016, replacing Siranush Vardanyan. Siranush has jointed ICANN as the Fellowship Coordinator in the Development and Public Responsibility Department.
