- The nomination period for ALAC Liaison and Officer positions ended on 19 October 2009, a part of the larger set of elections and appointments which have taken place between the Sydney and Seoul ICANN meetings (please see http://www.atlarge.icann.org/elections/2009). For the following positions, only one candidate
- On October 1st, 2009 the ALAC Chair Cheryl Langdon-Orr transmitted a letter to the Chairman of the ICANN Board of Directors [PDF, 84K], Peter Dengate-Thrush requesting ICANN to make a Non -lawyer's Guide to the RAA available for community use.
- Vanda Scartezini of Brazil has been elected the ALAC Board Liaison for 2009/2010 in a very close five-candidate contest which concluded on 30th September 2009. Ms. Scartezini will take up her position at the close of the ICANN Board Meeting in Seoul, South Korea and serve until the close of the third ICANN Meeting
- Each year, five of the 15 seats of the At-Large Advisory Committee ("ALAC") are up for election, one in each of the five ICANN Geographic Regions. The electors are the authorised representatives of the members of the At-Large community in each of those regions, who are themselves federated into Regional At-Large
