Sunday, 3 April 2005
Mar del Plata , Argentina

ICANN's At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) invites all interested individuals to attend the Latin America/Caribbean At-Large Users Workshop on Sunday, 3 April from 14:00 – 17:00, at the Sheraton Mar del Plata, to advance the interests of the region’s individual Internet user community (At-Large). The workshop will feature discussions of the future of the “Information Society” in Latin America/Caribbean, the user community’s role in the governing of the Internet, and increasing Latin America/Caribbean Internet users participation in ICANN and other global Internet/Communication/Technology decision-making forums. Participation is free and all are welcome.

Additional Sunday events of interest to Latin America/Caribbean’s Internet users (and especially for individuals interested in learning more about, or becoming more involved in, ICANN) include: an “ ICANN Orientation” from 9:00 – 10:00; and an “ Orientation Luncheon” from 12:30 – 13:30. All interested individuals are invited to attend the orientation seminar on ICANN and its work, and join members of ICANN’s Board of Directors and At-Large Advisory Committee, and staff for lunch. Both events are free and will be held at the Sheraton Mar del Plata.

Additional information on these and other ICANN events is available online. Numerous meetings and workshops on a range of policy and technical issues will be in Mar del Plata throughout the week of 4 April.
